谢科林博士于2013年12月加入美国疾病控制中心，担任全球艾滋病项目（GAP）中国办公室主任。此前，他曾任纽约市健康与心理卫生局艾滋病预防与控制部门HIV流行病学和现场服务计划主任。谢科林博士曾就读于维克森林大学医学院，并在罗切斯特大学思壮纪念医院内科完成了住院医师培训。完成住院医培训后，谢科林博士进入美国疾病预防控制中心流行病情报服务（EIS）进行培训。在那里，他被分配到了脑膜炎和国家传染病中心的特殊病原体分部。在2008年加入纽约市卫生局之前，谢科林博士在美国CDC病毒性肝炎部担任流行病学家，并在埃塞俄比亚工作两年，主要是协助当地政府落实美国总统的紧急计划（ PEPFAR ）资助的艾滋病关怀和治疗项目。
Colin Shepard, MD, MPH
US CDC Global AIDS Program China Director
Dr. Colin Shepard joined the U.S. Centers for Disease Control in December, 2013 to serve as the Division of Global HIV/AIDS Country Program Director for China. He previously directed the HIV Epidemiology and Field Services Program of the Bureau of HIV Prevention and Control at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Dr. Shepard attended medical school at Wake Forest University and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital. Upon completion of his residency he entered CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service, where he was assigned to the Meningitis and Special Pathogens Branch of the National Center for Infectious Diseases. Before joining the New York City Department of Health in 2008, Dr. Shepard served as a staff epidemiologist at CDC’s Division of Viral Hepatitis and spent two years in Ethiopia helping the government implement HIV care and treatment programs funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
