Dr Po-Lin Chan is the Advisor for Hepatitis, HIV and STI at the World Health Organization China country office. Po-Lin is a medical doctor trained in obstetrics and gynaecology, tropical medicine as well as epidemiology. She has worked across a variety of health settings spanning Africa, South Asia and East Asia from delivering medical and surgical services to communities suffering from war, to advising government on public health initiatives. Passionately committed to health for all people, she was instrumental in the establishment, scale-up and decentralisation of the comprehensive HIV/STI prevention, treatment and care programme in India during her service as the Team Leader HIV/STI at WHO India.
